Question by whitefin123: Can acupuncture support tendons and ligaments in the knee heal more rapidly?
My knees have developed a persistent problem. Soon after some analysis, I believe it might be tendonitis/tendonosis or ITBS. But without having seeing a doctor, it could be anything including a tear in the lateral ligament or tendon. Would acupuncture be worth seeking into? Has any person been treated with acupuncture and can you give me some information as to what it completed for you?

Acupuncture can assist to minimize inflammation, and improve blood flow to aid speed recovery and reduce discomfort in circumstances of tendinitis, and idiopathic joint discomfort. It can assist relax muscle tissue, allowing the muscle to heal and recover from spasms/more than-use.
If there is a key tear of ligament or tendon, acupuncture isn't going to trigger the entire body to "sew" the tear back with each other. The physique doesn't repair main tears that way, which is why there are surgical interventions.
It would be really worth hunting into, however, you would be properly suggested to have a tear injury ruled out initial.
