    Acupuncture Closely Revealed

300px Yin yang and bagua near nanning Acupuncture Closely Revealed

    Image via Wikipedia

The foundation of acupuncture rests on the relevance of an individual’s chi in maintaining bodily and mental health. It is believed that chi is present in every living creature, and flows through specific pathways in the body. Health problems arise when the flow of chi on the body is blocked. As a result, a person may feel persistent headaches, muscle pain, fever, weakness, or in the worst case, becomes afflicted with more serious health conditions.

    A Deeper Explanation of Acupuncture

Acupuncture has its origins in ancient Chinese philosophy and practice. More than ten thousand years ago, during the Old Stone Age of China, stones were fashioned into knives for medical purposes. After several years, during the New Stone Age, these stones were eventually made into needles intended for the same therapeutic end. These accounts are further evidenced by unearthed stone needles found to be of the same types used during the New Stone Age.

There are basically 14 pathways throughout the body where chi flows continuously. These are called the meridian points. In order for chi to course through the body unobstructed, there has to be a balance between the strengths of yin and yang. In ancient Chinese philosophy, yin and yang represent the forces of the universe- yin is for feminine, while yang is for masculine. Every single thing in the universe is believed to contain both yin and yang for harmony.

When the yin and yang are not balanced, chi cannot stream through the body liberally. Therefore, the meridian points through which chi courses through need to be stimulated. This is done by the insertion of hair-thin, disposable needles in specific areas on a person’s body to induce bodily harmony and bring about healing.

A certified and trained acupuncturist will be able to carry out an excellent therapy session for the patient. Trainings for acupuncturists are given in order for them to obtain their licenses. A poor practitioner may not be proficient enough with the practice and could end up jeopardizing the results of the entire procedure. Nowadays, it is wise to verify on a practitioner’s credentials to ensure a safe and effective acupuncture treatment.

    What This Ancient Method Does

One of the foremost effects of acupuncture on the body is relaxation. Stress is frequently pinpointed as the main precursor for a host of physical ailments. There are particular points all over the body that direct the flow of harmony and relaxation and when these are enthused, the patient becomes more at ease.

Another positive effect of this alternative therapy is increased pain control. During a session, a patient will usually feel very minimal pain as the thin needles are being inserted gradually. However, the needles are deliberately placed in varying depths, depending on the health requirements of the patient. When the needles reach the right depth, the patient will feel deeper pain, although the entire procedure is not necessarily painful.

It is also recommended for relief from chemotherapy fatigue as well as chemotherapy-related nausea. It has also been found to be largely effective for back pains, migraines, menstrual cramps, and as a pain controller for patients after undergoing surgical operations.

    Variations of Conventional Acupuncture

Auriculotherapy or ear acupuncture is one of the variations of conventional acupuncture. In this practice, it is believed that the ear provides a map for all the major bodily organs. A specific area or point on the ear corresponds to a particular organ, such as the heart, kidneys, or liver. Thus, the needles are placed in particular points around the ear and on the ear cartilage.

Staplepuncture is a method used in smoking cessation, wherein staples are placed for a certain period anywhere on the ear area to provide stimulation.

Indeed there is growing evidence that this traditional Oriental practice can rival any modern forms of treatment. If you are one of the many people who are looking for a widely recognized and time honored therapeutic practice, acupuncture may just be the alternative treatment for you.

300px Gingivitis before and after A Natural Remedy for Gingivitis, Toothaches, and Mouth Sores

    Image via Wikipedia

Everyone has a variety of bacteria in their mouth. Some have more than others. This bacterium helps you by beginning the digestive process.

Excess bacteria in your mouth have now been found to cause more than tooth decay, gingivitis or gum disease. So, you need to know, even though you might not have gingivitis, how to control these plaque-building bacteria in your mouth.

Bacteria that create gingivitis live in your plaque and cause your gums to inflame, bleed, and separate from your teeth. You can also have bad breath when you have gingivitis. In more severe cases, your gums become sore, teeth hurt, gums recede, and teeth loosen.

To stop the inflammation and gum separation use this natural remedy to kill some of these bacteria and strengthen your gums in your mouth.

Here are the herbs and the formula you will need to make an alternative remedy for a mild case of gingivitis:

2 parts white oak bark herb – powder

1 part myrrh gum herb – power or granules

3/4 part Peppermint leaves converted to powder

½ part anise herb – power or seeds

    1/8 part clove - powder

If herbs and leaves are not in powder form, grind them in a coffee grinder. Use this formula to make as much powder as you want.

Place the mixture into a small container. I usually use a small-unused vitamin bottle.

I usually mix a small amount and use a tablespoon as my measuring tool. For example, 2 tablespoons of white oak, 1 tablespoon of myrrh gum, ¾ tablespoon of peppermint leaves, and so on. The measurements do not have to be so precise.

    How to use it:

To control bacteria in your mouth, use this power once a week. If you have gingivitis, you can use this 3 times a day. Place some powder on your toothbrush and brush your teeth and gums. After brushing spit out, a few time, the saliva and residue powder. Don’t rinse out your mouth since you want to keep the active herb powders in your month. You can swallow any that remains in your mouth with no problem.

This powder combination is bitter, but quite powerful and will get the job done. You can add more peppermint powder to make it less bitter, if you like.

For severe cases of gingivitis and toothaches, you can also moist some powder with distilled water and then place the paste all along the your teeth and gums – front and back. Leave the paste in your mouth as long as you can. Don’t worry about the herbs getting in between your teeth. This remedy works.

My wife was schedule for a root canal last year and a few weeks before her tooth started paining and couldn't sleep. So I made this remedy. She just placed the powers around the painful area. It wasn't long before the pain stopped and she was able to go to sleep.

There have been other clients that have used this remedy for a month and successfully avoided having the dentist apply gingivitis treatment. In cases of severe gingivitis, go see your dentist and at the same time use this remedy.

4 Easy Ways To Relief Headache

300px Massage 4 Easy Ways To Relief Headache

    Image via Wikipedia

Having headache is annoying and sometimes it is difficult for us to avoid. Mostly when we are under pressure, headache appeared automatically. If it gets worse, we might faint due to the pain we felt.

A headache is a condition of mild to severe pain in the head. It can also attack at our upper back or neck. There are different types of headache, but most of the time headache brought on by stress, too long in front of computer, noise and others.

One of the main causes of headache is tension in the muscles of the neck, scalp and jaw. We usually deal with it by taking some sleep or consume over-the counter aspirin to release our pain. However, can we do this at any place?

Obviously, we cannot sleep at the office or at the mall. In addition, we might run of aspirin when headache strike us.

Do not worry! The easiest way to handle headache and we can do it everywhere is through massage. Massage is the practice of applying pressure or vibration to the soft tissues of the body, to heal injury, relieve psychological stress, manage pain, improve circulation and relieve tension.

When we suffer from headache, we can help ourselves with self-massage. Simple and everybody can do it, either at work or home.

Here are four easy ways in massage to heal our headache.

    1. Eyes Area Massage -- Close your eyes. Place your middle fingers to your eyes that are above cheekbones. Massage that area gently but firmly in circular motion for 1 minute,

    2. Eyes to Nose Massage – Using thumb, go along the underside of eyebrows (along the bone on top of eye socket). Feel where this bone meets the bridge of your nose and eyes and find a point where there is a small indentation. Very gentle pressure, press your thumbs into the points. You can do it four times by holding and press that area for 10 seconds in each press.

    3. Neck Massage -- Massage a point where you can feel it by moving the middle fingers of your hands to the back of your head and feel the base of your skull. Specially, at the tops of your neck that meets the base of your skull. Massage for a minutes using finger tips gentle in circular movement.

    4. Scalp Massage – Let your palms of your hands massage your scalp on the top of your skull for a minute gently.

Once you have done all those massages, start taking a deep breath. Lift your shoulders towards your ears for five to 10 seconds to relief remaining pain, and then let them drop back down into their natural position.

You are going to feel better when you can do that for a couple of times. Your massage will relief your headache and your head will feel less weighty.

Holistic Method #2 Good Weed mid day pick up!!!

2 Holistic Method #2 Good Weed mid day pick up!!!I am taking this around 130pm
You'll need (in about 1/2 tsp portions)
Oolong tea leaves -middle ground in caffeine level
Dandelion leaves-One of dandelion leafs greatest claims to fame is its ability to purify the blood and body organs. It is a wonderful liver cleaner and increases the output of the liver, the flow of bile into the intestines and the activity of the pancreas and spleen. This makes it a great treatment for hepatitis, yellow jaundice, and other liver related problems. By purifying the blood, it helps with some types of anemia. The acids in the blood that build up with weight loss are destroyed by dandelion. It also helps with low blood pressure, and builds energy and endurance.
Nettle-Nettle is also a natural diuretic. It helps the body eliminate uric acid and bacteria that cause urinary tract infections (UTIs) and kidney stones. The diuretic action of nettle may also help lower blood pressure and relive premenstrual bloating.
Plantain-Plantain is very high in beta carotene (A) and calcium. It also provides ascorbic acid (C), and vitamin K. Among the more notable chemicals found in plantain are allantion, apigenin, aucubin, baicalein, linoleic acid, oleanolic acid, sorbitol, and tannin. Together these constituents are thought to give plantain mild anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antihemorrhagic, and expectorant actions. Acubin has been reported in the Journal Of Toxicology as a powerful anti-toxin. Allantoin has been proved to promote wound healing, speed up cell regeneration, and have skin-softening effects.
Blessed Thistle-It is a "bitter" that aids digestion and works on a congested liver. It increases breast milk and is an emotional ally to uplift spirits. Not for use during pregnancy.
Clover-Red Clover has also shown anticancer activity, poultices of the herb have been used as local applications to cancerous growths. Internally, the Red Clover plant is used as an alternative medicine for skin complaints such as eczema and psoriasis, cancers of the breast, ovaries and lymphatic system, chronic degenerative diseases, gout, whooping cough and dry coughs. Red clover is now involved in research for a certain medicinal alkaloid "slaframine" which is often found in diseased clover, this substance has shown antidiabetic and anti-Aids activity.
    Spearmint
Mullein leaves-Mullein Tea is useful in expelling intestinal parasites like worms.
Yerba Santa- Yerba santa is often used for the treatment of the common cold, as well as chronic respiratory problems such as bronchitis and asthma
    Eucalytptus-Stimulant, antiseptic, aromatic
Fenugreek-Fenugreek Tea may help regulate blood sugar levels and may induce production of insulin
    Comfrey Root
    Ginger Root
    Stevia leaf
    *Hibiscus if you like*
MACA (1/2 tsp powder 1/2ml liquid)
    Agave or Yacon syrup
Yacon syrup, pressed from the roots, has a dark brown color, sweet flavor (reminiscent of molasses), and is used as an alternative glucose free sweetener and prebiotic with few calories.
    10 oz of hot water!!!

it means treating the whole body

What Do you think of alternative medicine?

Eastern medicine- do you think it's quack or effective? Why?
      I'm just curious.
(eastern medicine- acupuncture/pressure, herbs, TCM, qi gong... etc)

Effective! Things in nature are there and available for a reason!!! I have been dealing with health problems my entire life....chronic constipation (even though have a clean, natural diet that's high in fiber for the most part), severe back pain and tension headaches, severe depression and anxiety, acne-prone skin, painful heartburn/acid reflux, mood swings, etc. I have gone to countless doctors, had countless procedures done, and have been told over and over that there's nothing wrong, here's this prescription, have a nice day! Prescription drugs lessened the heartburn but made me sooo constipated and depressed. I finally decided one day to seek out alternative routes. I started by doing colon cleansing and had amazine results. No more heartburn, sking cleared up and is beautiful, depression went away...has given me a great outlook on life. Prescriptions will eventually suppress your liver's ability to function and your systems will eventually get backed up and become acidic. You're not curing the problem, you're only covering up the symptoms. I now get colonics, take traditional Chinese medicine (which actually has scientificly-tested studies, not just testimonials) for pain and to help fight off Candida (yeast), do oral chelation for heavy metal detox, do a lemon juice and maple syrup fast a few times a month for just a day or two, go to the chiroprator and get energy healings, practice Yoga, and follow many Ayervedic (Indian medicine) practices as well....cold showers, hydrogen peroxide therapy...as well as good 'ole Western folk medicine such as Apple Cider Vinegar and blackstrap molasses remedies.

Doctors will tell you it's quackery because it hurts their business. The FDA and Big Pharma will definitely tell you it's quackery and dangerous because they can't patent something natural nor make any money off of it. If it's not mainstream or FDA approved, that doesn't mean it doesn't work. It simply means it's natural, probably just as effective if not moreso, and poses a huge financial threat to their industries. There are many natural ways to fight cancer, for example, but they will never be tested by the FDA because the Pharmacies make trillions of dollars from chemotherapy and radiation alone. If we find a natural cure for AIDS (remedies already exist). then the pharmacies lose out on billions of dollars from drugs being given to the patients. Do you see where this is headed? The FDA says that only a drug can cure or prevent a disease and that natural cures can be dangerous....if this is so then why do more people in this country now die from prescription drugs and medical malpractice than heart disease???

Visit www.earthclinic.com and read up on lot of different alternative/natural medicines and cures. Hope that helps!

And yes, I've been called an idiot, stupid, ridiculous...etc. You name it! But I am the one who feels great because of natural medicine while everyone else keeps catching colds, getting the flu, getting cancer. etc. And you must find what's right for you...obviously our body types are different and we react to things diffrently. Good luck!
